SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs are looking forward to an exciting 2012-2013 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season. A new third jersey, new faces in the locker room and a new face behind the bench are bringing excitement into Harbour Station this summer.
The Sea Dogs president Wayne Long announced today that the team is targeting a total of 2,700 season tickets, keeping in line with last year’s goal.
“We have had the opportunity to witness some of the best junior hockey in the country over the past three years,” said Long. “With back-to-back President Cups and the Memorial Cup championship in 2011, we are fortunate to have gathered the best fans in junior hockey.”
Training camp this season was split into a rookie camp and a main training camp. The rookie camp has already taken place and the main camp roster has been decided. The 2012-13 Sea Dogs are ready to go. The boys of winter are back.
“This year, we are not going to focus on the past. We have made history over the last three years, but that is not our focus this season,” says Long. “Our focus lies on the ice for the 2012-13 season and beyond. Our fans have made the journey all that much better, and we are looking to them to join us on the next run.”
Good seats are still available for traditional season tickets, and the Sea Dogs are once again offering flex packs, which consist of 34 pre-paid ticket vouchers that can be used anytime, in any combination. Information on Sea Dogs full season, flex pack, and flex pack combo tickets can be obtained by calling the team office at (506) 657-DOGS (3647) or at www.saintjohnseadogs.com.
“Our fans helped us reach our goal last season, and we think they can do it again,” says Long.
In addition to saving over three dollars per ticket off of walk-up prices, season-ticket holders receive several exciting benefits, including exclusive invitations to a meet-and-greet barbecue and a winter skate, priority access to playoff seats, a limited-edition merchandise item, and a significant discount at the team store. Benefits also include a game-day draw valued at $50 per game, five complimentary tickets valued at $85, and use of the season-ticket holder entrance.
Fans will get their first look at the new look Sea Dogs on Saturday, Sept. 8 versus the Moncton Wildcats at 7 PM and Sunday, Sept. 16 at 4 PM against the Halifax Mooseheads. Season ticket holders are eligible for $5.00 tickets for both games.
