In addition to providing former Sea Dogs players education support the Foundation has distributed funds to such organizations as Hockey for Everyone (picture below) and D.A.R.E (picture above).
At the Sea Dogs’ first-ever playoff game on March 21, 2008, Sea Dogs Foundation representative Jane Forestell made a very special donation to the Halifax Ronald McDonald House in the amount of $1500.
Local McDonald’s Owner/Operator Mike Schultz and Marketing Director Amanda Masters were on hand to receive the cheque, the sum of which was arrived at following a season-long campaign whereby every time a Saint John player hit the post during a Sea Dogs home game, the total went up.
The Sea Dogs Foundation is very pleased to support Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organization that is dedicated to helping children with serious and/or life-threatening illnesses or disabilities and their families to lead happier, healthier lives by supporting each Ronald McDonald House and children’s charities across Canada.
