Greg Leland - Assistant Coach/Hockey Administration Coordinator

Greg Leland, a native of Toronto, Ontario, joined the Sea Dogs’ hockey operations department in the summer of 2007.

Having lived in New Brunswick since 1975, Greg is very familiar with the local hockey scene and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into his new roe with the Sea Dogs.

Leland played for the Acadia Axemen of Canadian Interuniversity Sport as a defenseman for four years while earning a B.A. in Physical Education. He also has a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick.
 
Greg has been coaching at various levels throughout Atlantic Canada for several years now, and his resume includes time with Team New Brunswick (1991 & 2003 Canada Games), Team Atlantic (coach at the 1998, 2002, and 2011 World Under-17 Challenge, director of operations in 2008 and 2010), as well as over fifteen years coaching at the Midget AAA level locally. In 2002-03, Leland served as an assistant on the coaching staff of the American Hockey League’s Saint John Flames.
